So, moving expenses took a HUGE chunk out of my laptop fund, and I ended up borrowing $500 from a friend so I could buy a car to get to work here. So, now I'm putting the laptop fund aside until I've raised the money to pay back my friend. That's not to say I've given up on the laptop, but I feel like I'm kind of back at square one again. I'm going to keep the commission list small for now so that I don't end up getting overwhelmed. Keeping it at 5 slots for now, though I may accept additional small commissions (headshots and the like) if those slots are filled.

I just returned from Sakuracon 09. There were a few annoyances, but otherwise I had a great time. I ended up spending most of the convention sitting with friends and random con-goers, and talking/ drawing. I met a lot of fantasmical fellow artists, and anime enthusiasts. And even sat in on the doll meet despite my lack of dolls. (Mostly Senny's fault. But hey who am i to complain? I enjoyed myself.)

I ended up meeting up with and on saterday, and we organized an art jam up on the fourth floor. I met so many interesting people that way. Unfortunately I hadn't managed to get everyone's contact information so if any of you happen to be watching me please let me know who you were!

I also met a lot of awesome artists in artist Alley. Naru was there again this year, as was Mala, though I didn't have the chance to stop by her table once I finally realized she was there. Was sharing a table with Naru, and he turned out to be a pretty awesome guy. I also got the chance to to meet (Who's figures are amazingly fantstic, and I managed to snag a commission from), and sharing a table with her were and her friend. I adore all three of them! They're all so young, and each of them are very talented in their own way. As well as being plainly awesome people.

I also met to other girls at Jimmyjohns of all places, who had so much personality, and one of them had made her outfit almost in its entirety. I wish I could show it to you all, because both of their outfits were fantastic. I gave them my information , but I didn't get theirs, so I hope they'll find me. ><! Senny or Syntropy may have it too. I'll have to ask them.

I really enjoyed hanging out with everybody, and drawing. Senny was adorable! And I love her so much! She's very animated,a nd fun to listen too, and we have a surprising amount in common. Bah! I love you Bebe! >3<!

I did get kind of lonely without my mate though. That's the longest I've had to spend without him in at least a year. T__T!

I got a ton of gift art and commissions too! Everyone was so nice! ToT! I commissioned who had a gorgeous business card, for a figure of Maura, :icon salice-is-an-idiot:, and one other girl who i couldn't actually find the name of on her table. Her art style was familiar, but she seriously had NO identifying features on her table. No names, no business cards, not even signatures on her art. o__o;

I also met to absolutely adorable boys at con. One of whom being Words cannot describe how precious they were. Drew Maura for me. Go check out his art! He's incredibly talented.

is having some financial troubles right now and is offering commissions and auctioning off art in an a attempt to raise the money she needs to move out. I swear the poor girl has no luck whatsoever. What she does seem to have is a great group of friends willing to do what they can for her.

so if you want to help you can do one of two things (or both) buy something from her and/or help spread the word by using your journal to notify others. I know, no one is made of money right now, but the great thing about our community is that we're so willing to help our fellow deviants in need.

In other news. Due to the overwhelming response to my poll (Apparently over 100 people felt the urge to vote) I'll be posting WIPs on my DA account so as to obtain constructive feedback on the images I'm working on. This probably wont include most commissions, and small illustrations, but it will definitely include my larger pieces. Do you think I should post them as Deviations or in my journal?
